The Town Code clearly states:
“The Town of Shandaken Code Enforcement Officer is hereby appointed local administrator
to administer and implement this chapter by granting or denying floodplain development
permits in accordance with its provisions.”
Given this language, I am trying to understand how someone other than the Code Enforcement
Officer was permitted to assume these responsibilities.
